Laboratory freeze dryer for routine applications with new user friendly unit control LDplus (Lyo Display plus):

LDplus (Lyo Display plus) stands for a comfortable, easy-to-use and self-explaining user interface for controlling routine freeze drying processes, combining functionality and convenient operation:   

  • Graphic LC display with a clear layout showing the most important process data (ice condenser temperature, process time, section time and vacuum)
  • Comfortable and self-explaining menu guidance in German, English or French language
  • Vacuum control for optimization/reduction of process times (electromagnetic pressure control valve available as accessory)
  • Conversion of product temperature and vacuum according to the vapour pressure curve above ice
  • RS-232 communications interface (PC) available as an option, e.g. for process documentation software LyoLog LL-1

Suitable for drying in12 or 24 round bottom flasks, wide neck filter bottles, ampoules and on 3 or 5 unheated shelves Ø 265 mm or 5 unheated shelves  Ø 360 mm, alternatively sealing device with 2 or 4 unheated shelves Ø 250 mm).

Ice condenser temperature –85°C.

Universal laboratory freeze dryer for routine applications; low ice condenser temperature allow drying of samples containing organic solvents (e.g. alcohols); with new user friendly unit control LDplus (Lyo Display plus):

LDplus (Lyo Display Plus) stands for a comfortable, easy-to-use and self-explaining user interface for controlling routine freeze drying processes, combining functionality and convenient operation:

  • Graphic LC display with a clear layout showing the most important process data (ice condenser temperature, process time, section time and vacuum)

Freeze Dryer EPSILON 1-4 / 2-4

Laboratory-/Pilot Freeze Dryer with a capacity of 4 kg,
Ice condenser temperature:–55°C (EPSILON 1-4) resp. –80°C (EPSILON 2-4)

Universal system with one, temperature controlled shelf. The ice condenser is placed directly within the drying chamber (single-chamber system), thus fast process times can be realized. Unit operation will be done via control system LSC (Lyo Screen Control):

  • ¼ VGA-LC-Display
  • Graphic orientated display with single button control ("turn and push")
  • Clear structured display of relevant process data
  • Storage of up to 30 freeze drying programs in tables (option)
  • WINDOWS based process control and documentation software is available


Possible configurations:

  • Freezing and drying directly on one temperature controlled shelf 270 x 400 mm,
    Temperature range:
    -40°C to +60°C (EPSILON 1-4)
    -70°C to +60°C (EPSILON 2-4)
  • Stoppering device for vials with connections for 4 flasks available as option
